BMBL would like to congratulate BMBL and Boyertown High School alumni Trey Yesavage and Cole Hertzler for being selected in the 2024 MLB draft!
Trey was selected with the 20th overall pick by the Toronto Blue Jays. Trey was coming off of a stellar collegiate season at East Carolina University, where he recently completed his junior year and was a consensus 2024 First Team All American. He graduated from Boyertown High School in 2021 after a run to the District 1 championship game and a trip to the PIAA state playoffs. Trey and Cole played together on a loaded Junior Division Advanced Play team, where they went 47-1-3 as Black Bears in 2016.
Cole was selected in the 5th round with the 163rd overall pick by the Houston Astros. Cole was the #1 starting pitcher for Liberty University in 2024, where he recently completed his junior year. He was named to the 2024 C-USA All-Conference team. Cole and Trey faced each other several times in college, including in 2023 when Cole played first base and had three at-bats against Trey, and 2024 when they faced each other as starting pitchers. Cole graduated from Boyertown High School in 2021 and played pitcher and third base for the District 1 Runners-Up.
Both of these young men have worked extremely hard to get to where they are, and we wish them nothing but the best as they pursue their dreams to make it to the Big Leagues!
