Updated Lobaugh memorial

Mr. Robert C. Lobaugh was a prominent Boyertown businessman who gave selflessly and generously to the Boyertown Midget Baseball League (BMBL). Mr. Lobaugh’s generosity provided financial support to the BMBL and allowed for improvements to be made to the BMBL program. These improvements provided a base for the BMBL, better field conditions for children to further enjoy their baseball experience, and a legacy that transcends.

Lobaugh Field, at Boyertown Community Park, was dedicated to Mr. Robert C. Lobaugh on May 10, 1997. A stone plaque was planted next to the field on that day, for all to see. It was a beautiful ceremony that rightfully honored a great man.

As we approach the 25 year anniversary of the dedication the Lobaugh family has decided to redesign the Robert Lobaugh memorial. The photo shows the beautiful finished product. Seated in the photo are father and son Buddy and Adam Miller. Adam is the great grandson of Robert Lobaugh.

The family would like to express gratitude to the people and organizations that made this project a success: Mr. Dennis Lobaugh and Mrs. Ruth Ann Lobaugh for their financial support of the redesign, the BMBL for providing beautiful baseball fields and facilities for baseball players of all ages, the Boyertown Borough for approving the redesign, and Scott Rothenberger and Scott Rothenberger’s PLACE for the beautiful design and pre-work.
