The Black Bears made it back-to-back in tournament championships by winning their home tournament, the Boyertown Mother's Day Classic. They swept through the two pool play games en route to the #1 seed and then won both of their playoff games to secure the title.
The team won their two pool play games against PA Thunder and South Parkland by scores of 9-3 and 17-0. In game one against PA Thunder, Connor H drove in 3 of the Black Bears 9 runs while teaming up with Tyler T and Jameson Y on the mound to strike out 16 PA Thunder batters over 6 innings. In game two, Joey G drove in 5 runs and Jameson Y drilled a 2-run homer while Cole N and Jackson K took the bump to hold South Parkland scoreless over four 2-hit innings.
After a first round bye, Boyertown faced PA Thunder in the playoff semifinals in a rematch of the previous day pool play game. The Black Bears struck first, thanks to an RBI grounder from Connor H scoring CJ C. Jayden T added a run in the second on a passed ball steal of home. After PA Thunder clawed a run back in the top of the fourth, the Black Bears answered with a run of their own in the bottom of the frame when Cole N squeeze bunted in Jameson Y. Jayden M scored the fourth and final run in the bottom of he fifth on a CJ C RBI ground out. Jameson Y and Jayden M delivered a strong pitching performance for the Black Bears, scattering 5 hits over six innings while striking out 10 and walking only 1.
The finals pitted #2 seed Lower Perk against the top-seeded Black Bears. With weather threatening, Boyertown jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the bottom of the second, thanks to singles by Cole N, Jayden T, Joey G, and Jackson K. Those four singles, coupled with walks by Jake M and Jayden M, an RBI sac fly by CJ C and an RBI ground out by TJ B propelled the Black Bears to a lead they would not relinquish. Lower Perk immediately answered with four runs of their own in the top of the third, but that was the end of their scoring. The Black Bears added two insurance runs in the bottom of the fifth when Connor H hit a 2-run homer. Tyler T, Connor H, and Cole N teamed up on the mound, giving up a combined 1 earned run while striking out 8.
